Adaptive Equipment Evaluation

For individuals who have an injury or disability that impacts their ability to access vehicle controls, we provide evaluation and training in the use of hand controls, left foot accelerator, and/or steering devices. The entry point to this program is a comprehensive driver evaluation.

Training - Our adaptive equipment evaluation and training will require multiple sessions. A prescription for the equipment will be given once safe use of the equipment is demonstrated in our vehicle. This generally entails the evaluation session, 2-4 training sessions, and a final fitting session.

Final Fitting - The final training session will be completed in the client's vehicle once the adaptive equipment has been installed. This final training session is essential to completing the program. Once this final session has been completed we will send the paperwork to your doctor to have make any necessary adjustments to your drivers license.
