Heather Ackart

OTR/L, DRS

Licensed Occupational Therapist

Driver Rehabilitation Specialist

Heather Ackart is an occupational therapist with many years of experience of nurturing independence and striving to prevent the loss of valuable occupations.   Like many others in our community, she juggles the roles of being a parent of young children, caregiver of aging parents, and career woman. Each of these roles have given her a unique understanding for the joys and struggles that face so many of our modern-day families.

Heather received her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a concentration in cognitive neuroscience, and her master’s degree in occupational therapy from Colorado State University (Go Rams!!). She is absolutely fascinated with each and every noggin and is dedicated to supporting it’s ability to keep individuals in our community happy, independent, and safe, whether at home or on the road. She is also passionate about advocating for policy changes at the congressional level. This drive has led her to represent the underrepresented in both Colorado and Washington D.C., as well as the gumption to empower others to make positive changes in their own lives. She is based out of our Fort Collins office, but is also happy to make guest appearances in our Westminster office.

Kate Pettey

MA-TESL/TEFL

Administrative Assistant

Kate Pettey is an administrative assistant who prides herself on being a friendly, informative first encounter for every potential and returning client. Having personally helped her own father navigate the challenges of aging well—from his gradually reduced independence to assisted living and, finally, to memory care—she understands how reassuring it is to have professional guidance during this process.

Kate has spent eight years as an administrative assistant in a variety of office settings from a small human resources firm to a bustling K – 8th grade school. Before moving into her current field, she taught English overseas in the Czech Republic, Japan, Singapore, Puerto Rico, and the United Arab Emirates. Along the way, Kate has discovered that many of the skills required for organizing the details of a curriculum, teaching successful lessons, and establishing a rapport with students also lend themselves well to administrative assistance and customer care.

Our Mission: To provide innovative prevention-focused solutions that enhance health and quality of life.
